In order to meet the needs and interests of today's youth, we offer a variety of contemporary, relevant, and fun activities and programs designed to enhance their personal growth experience. Current programs include a Wednesday night program; Jr. High and High School have opportunities on both Sundays and throughout the week. Children's programming for all ages is fully staffed on Sunday mornings and for various functions during the week.

 

We are continually developing a wider variety of groups to meet your individual needs. Several of our small groups meet in the homes of members. Studies share the Word of God and make application to life in today's world.

 

A number of social events, seminars, and service opportunities enable everyone at South Side to work together for the building of Christ's church in Northwest Indiana and around the world.

 

We believe that God is the creator of the heavens and the earth and that he exists in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, yet is one. We call them the Trinity. We believe that all mankind sins (i.e., does what is contrary to God's desires for our lives). Unforgiven sin will result in eternal death. Because he loves us, however, he made it possible for us to be saved from that punishment through his son. We believe that because of man's sin, he separated himself from the relationship with God that he once had. In order to restore that relationship, God sent his son Jesus into the world. He taught and ministered to explain how that reconciliation was possible. He was rejected by leaders of his own people because of his teachings and was killed (crucified) on a cross. There he died, was later buried, and rose back to life three days later. Later, he ascended to the right hand of the Father where he is the head of the church. We believe that in order to receive that restorative relationship back to God, people must believe with their heart that Jesus is the son of the living God; must repent of their sins; and be baptized by immersion to receive the forgiveness of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit, our guide and stay until Christ returns for his church. We believe that it is the goal of every Christian to grow in spiritual maturity through obedience to the Word of God and the indwelling Holy Spirit. We believe that one day Christ will return for those who have accepted him as Lord and Savior and will take us away from this earth for a time. Ultimately we will live for eternity with God in the new heaven and the new earth.
