If you're like me, when you're out and about in Munster, you tend to "circle by" the church property in search of signs of work and progress on the rehabilitation project. While it may not look like it, some work is being done - it's just in a slow-moving stage right now, focussed mainly on the installation of the new boilers and completing the rehabilitation of the heating system.
Tim O'Neal, Precision Construction's project manager, is hopeful that this work can be completed in the next several days so that heat can be fully restored to the building, allowing his crews to resume the rest of their work. As cold as it is in much of the building, the workers would certainly be miserable; the glues for carpetting and tile flooring would likely fail, and we would not gain the results we're hoping for. I think we'll all agree - after this long a time and after all we've been through, we want things to "be right".
More information will follow as it becomes available to us.
